Hi all,
For various reasons at our site, we need to run crack to assess the
strength of our passwords. I've tried to install it under OSF/1 3.0 on an
alpha 3000/300x, but it eventually crashes with a core dump.
I suspect the problem is due to the endianness of integers on the alpha.
If you have managed to get crack working on a similar platform, could you
please drop me a line telling me what tweaks you needed.
Also, I have acquired an extra dictionary of words for use with crack. The
documentation does not tell me where I should put it. crack/Dict? Let me
know if you know.
