db-1.85 under DU3.2C

Greetings

I recently installed db-1.85 under DU 3.2C on an Alpha AXP3300. This was
a prerequisite for complying with a recent CERT advisory of sendmail,
which calls for sendmail 8.7.3.

Some applications which use dbm seem unaffected, like NIS. But vacation
gives the attached error. I've attached the error message rather than
enclosing it since it contains a number of control characters.

Am I missing something like "You need to re-build the shared libs"? And if
that's the case, how would I go about it?

The same error also occurs on an AlphaServer 2100/275 running DU 3.2B.

Regards,

Patrick O'Brien
