Patch SSRT_0359

I'm revisiting the senmail alert of a month or so ago. There was
additional info that on DU part of the the problem was with syslog and to
fix this, you needed to apply SSRT_0359. I have since heard there
were/are problems with this patch. Can anyone elaborate?
