The "problem" printer is a DEClaser 5100 with a LAT card. It prints OK
with VMS and Ultrix (postscript).
It was necessary to use the op and ts entries in /etc/printcap to make it
work reliably with Ultrix rather than using the lat control program to
map an applcation port.
:op=PORT_1:\
:ts=LAT_0040AF15FF90:\
Under DU 3.2C, I've been unable to get the printer to work when
configured as for Ultrix and have resorted to:
latcp -A -p tty0a -H LAT_0040AF15FF90 -R PORT_1
which becomes wedged and requires "lpc abort" followed by "lpc start" to
unwedge it.
Can either 1. the op and ts entries be made to work with DU 3.2C or
2. the mapped port be made to work reliably or
3. the user be given control of their queue to they can fix
it themselves.
