GNU libg++

        I am attempting to install GNU's libg++ and get the following error :

#make all "CC=gcc -O2"
LOCK: -z ""
 || gcc -O2 -c -g -I. -I./../include argv.c -o pic/argv.o
sh: syntax error at line 1: `||' unexpected
*** Exit 2
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.

        Any idea's????
