My original question was:

>Does anyone have any experience managing a Digital UNIX system where

>(192.102.232.nn). I'm not running routed or gated and have a static

It appears that this won't work because rwho and ruptime use broadcast
datagrams which aren't routed. It may be possible to use static routes
but that's not terribly flexible. I ended up bailing out and changing my
IP number to the network where all of the other machines were located.
