Hello DU managers,
(among which are 2 "mediums" who answered before I could see
 my posting to the list ... ;-)

Thanks to :

1) Christophe Colle colle_at_krtkg1.rug.ac.be
-> get ftp.ibp.fr:/pub/www/tools/webcopy/webcopy/webcopy-0.97.tar.gz
-< A sail's man as the beginning of the name suggests ...
-< It works great, good wind from De Panne to Knokke for you Christophe !
-< Do not forget (as I did) to run h2ph = perl conversion tool for includes).

2) Szemethy Tivadar <tiv_at_vma.bme.hu>
-> install a WWW caching proxy server but it'll cache other URLs as well.
-< Certainly the best solution in absolute but I am unable to do that :-(
-< and I have only "focused" needs.

3) Paul A Sand <pas_at_keokuk.unh.edu>
-> You might check a Perl script named `w3mir' from some guy in Norway
-> that seems to do pretty close to what you want. (Home page for the
-> script is http://www.ifi.uio.no/~janl/w3mir.html) This seems to be
-> the successor to something called `htget', which I could not find.
-< Not tried yet.

4) Starlink Software Librarian <star_at_uclan.ac.uk> aka Andy Adamson
-> if the files you want are ftp accessible (i guess they are),
-> you could use "mirror" to get them. have a look in
-> src.doc.ic.ac.uk ftp archive, under /packages/mirror.
-> needs perl4 rather than perl5.
-< Not tried yet.

Regards,
and a game suggestion : try to guess my next query before I post it ...
