I've got a 3000/400 Alpha that is still running OSF 1.3 (It wasn't
broke for our purposes so we didn't fix it). It was struck by the
leap year bug and now runs 1-2 days behind on reboots. Annoying but
I just boot it to single user, set the time and "init 3" to bring it
all the way up. A temporary fix at best.
The problem is that Ultrix NFS hosts are refusing mount requests
from this Alpha with "Bad client authentication" errors. My Solaris
hosts just return permission denied errors.
I'm in the midst of a major lab move so the timing here couldn't be
worse. Has anyone else encountered this odd behaviour. Looks like
I'm gonna have to upgrade to 3.2d or 4.0 anyway, but I can't make
time for that before end of next week. Any interrim help would be
appreciated.
