I recently added a 2nd processor and 512 MB additiona memory to my
2100 running dUnix 3.2c. This is primarily an Oracle Database Server.
As it stands now I have the 2nd processor shutdown, because when it
is running the Oracle performance degrades.
Calls to DEC and Oracle have been LESS THAN helpful. Preinstallation calls to
DEC and Oracle resulted in advise to the effect of "You don't have to do
anything, just plug in the hardware and go." RIGHT...
Right now what I am looking for is some monitoring tools that will let
me see what processes are assigned to what processor.
I currently have vmubc & top from DEC, and a license for Polycenter
Performance Advisor although it is not currently configured and running.
What tools do you use for system monitoring?
Purchased, Shareware, Freeware, homegrown...
Any advise you might be able to pass along would help.
Thanks
