booting from network

Hi

I have a DEC3000 m500, without cdrom drive, which I would like to do a
fresh installation to DU3.2C. I have setup one of my dec3000 m700 which
is on the same subnet as DEC3000 m500, to be the ris server. On the ris
server, I simply do a ris and install the software, /mnt/ALPHA from the
cdrom and add the DEC3000 m500 as the ris client.

When I did a "boot esa0" on the DEC3000 m500, it did not boot up from the
ris server. It kept trying "Audit boot, retry".

I have checked through the bootptab on the ris server and it has the
entry for the DEC3000 m500. I tried the set the debugging on for the
bootpd and it seems that there is no message in the daemon.log file.
When I tried to run bootpd manually, the daemon.log shows "bind: address
already in use".

Anybody knows what is happening ?

Thank you in advance.

Have a nice day.

Regards
