Panasonic PD drive on Alpha?

Has anyone out there successfully used a Panasoc PD drive (4 speed CD-ROM and
650MB Magneto-optical drive in one) on an Alpha system? We're hoping to use
either these or similiar devices for storage of fMRI data.
