[SUMMARY] including new man pages

My posting was :

Could any of you list step by step the operations needed to include new
man pages, as they come with numerous supplementary tools found on
the net, into the existing manuals.

Thanks to the list of gelow gurus, I got the answer (at light speed)

Consensus to say it's very easy :

1/ copy the man file into either /usr/share/man subdirectories
(subdirectories man1 to man8)
or better, into a dedicated location like /usr/local/share/man
(subdirectories man1 to man8)
The extension of the file is also the section ID.

2/ Create a MANPATH environment variable
# setenv MANPATH /usr/share/man:/usr/local/share/man

3/ Create references to whatis commands :
# catman -w
