"telnet mud.bluemoon.net 4000" # When I yank out the -D all I get is this: # inews -h /usr/temp/killme Warning Text unavailable -- Article will be spooled. I have env's set and the news server file in /etc. # echo $UUCPHOST news.bluemoon.net # echo $NNTPSERVER news.bluemoon.net # cat /etc/nntpserver news.bluemoon.net # When I run rnews -U the prompt returns immediately, nothing gets sent from the in.coming directory to the news server and the news server doesn't even receive a connection request from the DUnix machine at all, with either inews or rnews and never has. That's as far as I ever get. NN and TRN can read fine, but not post and tin can read and post. All the paths are correct, permissions are correct, config files are available, but still no go. inews and rnews will not do a damned thing for me and never have no matter how meticulously I build them, no matter how many hours I spend reading docs and faqs. We have to read and post via nntp so I need to make inews work. What am I doing wrong here? I've learned to hate inet news with a passion. J.
