Hi, OSF users
My problem is, I use PC-NFS to mount disks on Unix machines. It
works most of the case, but still I can not mount disks on OSF1.
I'm using Intergraph PCNFS V2.1 for WindowNT. OSF1 V3.0 running on
DEC3000-700.
If I use my own account for PC-NFS login to get authentication, I
can mount disks on Ultrix machines. If I use root for PC-NFS
login, I can mount disks on OSF1 machine. But if I use my own
account for PC-NFS login, I can not mount disks on OSF1 machine.
The error message when I failed to mount was, "An error occurred in
network provider NtNfs. Error 1208: Local system does not have
sufficient privileges to access mount".
Does OSF1 have some extra checking or security so to allow NFS
mount request only for root?
Thank you all in advance.
