:I am running INN1.4unoff4 under OSF 3.2. My hosts.nntp file contains FQDN
: (full internet names) names of the "feeders," however innd every time hands
: over the connection to nnrpd. Only if I put IP addresses in hosts.nntp, innd
: takes care of the connection.
Thanks to everyone who responded.
Innd needs to be patched for DEC Alphas due to the 64-bit architecture
specifics. Refer to UNOFF-NOTES/DEC-alpha file (in INN-1.4unoff4
distribution) for instructions; quoting the above mentioned file:
one set of changes that have to be made. Find all uses of inet_addr
(innd/rc.c, lib/remopen.c, backends/rcompress.c) and replace the
related "unsigned long" declarations or casts with "unsigned int".
Good luck,
