building shared InterViews 3.1 libs on DU 3.2c + gcc-2.7.2

Someone must've done it by now, right? I'd hate to start hacking the
Imake config files and then find out that it's old news. I do have
the patches to build IV with DEC C++, but I need g++ shared libs to
work with the rest of my code (DEC C++ chokes on a lot of the newer
ANSI draft features and besides I need x-platform source level compat).
