Dear Terje:
I have this printer. Here are the instructions:
Operation Display Reads
--------- -------------
1. Press On Line to place the printer offline. 00 READY DEC
2. Press and hold Menu for at least three seconds. MODE = DEC
3. Press > once. MODE AdobePS
4. Press Enter to select the PostScript mode of The printer recycles
operation. ...eventually:
PS READY/IDLE
To go back, you go off line and use the Menu to get into CONTROLLER MODE
and use > to get to MODE: DEC PPL3 and Enter (in brief).

as well. One of those who replied tried to test the same as I, and so of course
got exactly the same problem ;) Anyway, the answer from Peter should bail
us all out for now!
