Hi everyone,

I need some help here. First I am running an Alpha 2100 series Digital Unix
server with 5100 series Digital Dual Pentium processor workstations with
WindowsNT loaded and I am using Exceed to create an x-windows connection.

General Info:

I know that in the Novell environment they suggest having multiple volumes.
 One for each of the following Users (Volume), Applications (Volume),
Mail (Volume), Data (Volume), etc.

Question(s):

Are there such things as volumes in Digital UNIX?
I need to know if Digital UNIX is the same(suggested method of storage)?
If so, where do I put the applications, users, data, etc(Can I get a sample
directory structure)?
What command do I enter to see what volumes I have?
Am I missing anything here that I should be aware of like does UNIX require
I register each application with the operating system or can I just dump a
precompiled application in any directory?

Closing:

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
