CDE error

I get the following messages in /usr/var/dt/Xerrors:
Mon Apr 15 15:04:46 1996
error (pid 20915): Trouble getting network interface configuration
Mon Apr 15 16:04:13 1996
error (pid 28129): Trouble getting network interface configuration

When a user logges onto the console, the user is immediately logged off and
returned to the CDE login window; root can login OK.

Any ideas?
