Hi Alpha-Managers
At Bologna Astronomical Observatory we are experiencing a
strange behaviour in the command w in our alpha-cluster.
We create cluster with DMU and satellites are added in various
epoch, using w command on the satellites all user logged
show a very long idle time equal the period elapsed from
addition.
Till now we don't experience any trouble, but we want to
install and use a sw (idled by Michael P. Crider) that
checks for idle user and then kill them.
with our situation the user logged on the console is killed
becuase session and window manager have a long idle time.
On the contrary the server shows the right idle time.
did anyone experience such a behaviour ?
