LAT connects do not clear utmp/wtmp on log out - 3.2c

When users connect to any of our alpha workstations via LAT service,
the utmp/wtmp records are not cleared at log out. Finger and
'w' continue to show the user logged on and idle. Connects
via telnet/rlogin/console don't exhibit this behavior. Anyone
know of a fix. Thanks for any info.
