I've got an Alpha Server 400/233 with NO TAPE DRIVE: Not easy to do backups
:-). I am supposed to receive an external SCSI tape drive this week. I'm new
to UNIX syastem administration and I have a couple of questions:

        1) Do I just plug the tape on the SCSI connector or do I have to open
the machine to "terminate" the connectors ? Will the tape documentation
        help me ?

        2) Will I have to do somtehing special (MAKEDEV, Kernel Rebuild ?) in
order for the system to recognize the new hardware ? Under which name
        should it be mounted ?

                                                Thank you
