Thanks to a respondent (who will remain anonymous per the *secretive*
nature of this issue), I have learned that a hack is available for
obtaining unlimited users. The hack is to recompile login (and xdm) from
cygnus kerberos sources (which have been ported up to DU 3.2).

Simple enough!
