Hello everyone,
Our company has recently installed it's first DEC system, an alpha
2100 running DU3.2c, and I have been elected to administer it!
With no training and little prior knowledge I have set-up a UUCP link
to the internet, via a service Provider, for mailing purposes (which
obviously works).
We now wish to set-up a news feed from the ISP and to this end I have
down-loaded inn1.4sec and nntplink3.3.1 from the net.
My problem is that these pieces of software will not compile; Also
some compiler 'bits' like lint are missing from the system.
Does the compiler come standard with DU 3.2c? 'cc' is certainly there
and works to some extent.
As the make files are designed to compile on SunOS I looked for the
document entitled "SunOS to DEC OSF/1 Porting Guide" which is listed
in the Digital FAQ, but the location does not exist

Does anyone know where to get this document?
