Hex/binary editor

Managers,
does anyone know if there is a full screen editor for binary files that
will show the bytes in hex format? As far as I know, vi and emacs do
not have this facility.
Xview is the only program I found that is able to show (but not edit)
binary files in such a format.
Please notice that I am still at DEC OSF/1 V2.1 and quite happy with it
(shame, shame)!
