BIND-TO-KEY in .cshrc or .profile

    Hi Folks,
    
    I can't seem to get bind-to-key EndOfFile "\^D"
    
    to work in a script file .. namely .cshrc and .profile.
    
    I used the archives to find out how to use the arrow keys to recall
    history (set editmode=emacs) but of course this disable the ^d for
    exiting the shell.
    
    My users do not want to type the bind-to-key comand each they log on.
    I would appreciate any assistance you can give. Thanks
