Hello.
I have been informed by our networking support people that our University
name servers, which are DEC Alphas operating under Digital Unix 2.0, should
be performing UDP checksumming, which is something our SUN systems
(Solaris 2.5) do automatically.
I am not really too clear on what they are taking about here. Can anyone
shed some light on what UDP checksumming is and how I would go about
enabling it on our nameservers?
Thanks for any assistance. I will summarize all answers to the list.
Ray
PS. Here is the info I have on the SUN version.
