I got only one response in the day from Linda; thanks, Linda. She
confirmed that the standard print would only print one copy, but that
she had a hp-filter that fixed this problem. She was kind enough to send
me the filter uuencoded. I won't get a chance to try this till May 28,
but I am expecting that this will solve my problem.
Attached is Linda's message.
regards, kris.
Dear Kris!
Your so right. It doesn't work that way.
But there is a hp-filter that does the job.
We've got it from our local DEC representation.
It is call hpnpf and the printcap looks likes this:
pr13u:\
:if=/usr/lbin/pr13u.of:\
:lf=/usr/adm/lp13uerr:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:sd=/usr/spool/lpd13u:\
:xf=/usr/lbin/xf:
The /usr/lbin/pr13u.of looks like this
! /usr/bin/csh -f
/usr/lbin/hpnpf -x dr13.por.bka -N
#
# -N NL to CR/LF
where dr13.por.bka is the ip-name of the printer
and /usr/lbin/hpnpf is the binary - supported by nobody .
I'll try to append it to the next mail - maybe you can get it that way.
Can't promess.
Best regards
Linda
