Hello Managers:
I recently posted a question regarding a printer not correctly printing out
text files. Several people pointed out that the printer was not sending
CR+LF, rather just a LF. Also, several of you suggested that I add the line
:rp=text:\ to the /etc/printcap file. Still others suggested using filters
to replace the LF with a CR+LF.
I don't think that I can use the :rp=text:\ line, as that parameter is being
used to determine which VMS print queue the printer is connected to? Am I
wrong? I hope so, because using rp=text seems a whole lot easier than using
filters.
If I am not wrong (believe me, that rarely happens), could someone please
direct me to a suitable print filter. (I have tried some of the ones located
in /usr/lbin with no success, including hplaserof)
TIA, and I will re-summarize
