Greetings, all;
Thanks to the two of you who replied to my other message about this
machine. It's driving me nuts. To summarize the messages, they both
basically said "check your memory", which I did. I replaced it with
36 bit true parity 60ns SIMMS, and I get Correctable error 0x630 a lot
less than I did, although I do still get it. I have a new problem,
however - I get a kernel panic with
alloc: dup alloc
when I try to run some system programs, notably nroff. Programs like
mount and ls work fine. My question is this: I know that there have in
the past been copies of at least some of the alpha documentation on-line.
Since my docs are all on a CD I can't yet read, I could really use another
reference. Could anyone out there point me at any on-line alpha docs that
would apply to an AXPpci 33 motherboard? I need to know how to do crash
dump analysis, and also what Correctable Error 0x630 is.
Thanks for any information/help,
Erik
