BootUp to Recognize BNC on PCI Ethernet

I'm running OSF on an AlphaServer 400. After a complete power loss
situation and reboot I recognized that the boot sequence only recognized the
AUI port and not the thinwire BNC. Help! It's our only fast internet server.
