Hi,
I just installed the 1.9.15p8 version of Samba onto a Digital Unix 3.2D1
server.
Everything went fine. Created a very small smb.conf file, run the tesparm
succesfully and started the smbd and nmbd deamons through inetd.conf.
Now when thrying the local client first (# smbclient -L serverhost), as
described in Step 4 of the Installation notes, I get the following
messages (twice) :
Memory allocation error : failed to expand to 0 bytes
Trying with a debug level of 5 :
show the trouble comes when calling smb-bcc =8
giving
Memory allocation error : failed to expand to 0 bytes
size=102
Is this a known problem on Alpha, do I have to get a patch, or do I need
to adjust some system parameters first ?
Have already had a look both in digest files and into alpha-osf-managers
archive files and didn't find anything
Any help will be appreciated
