I found out that I was not alone having that problem with DU. It looks like
that is a problem specific to DU. Most of the people who replied told me to
either use the init 0 command before shutdown, or write my own shutdown
script (Actually, someone even submitted his own script ;-))

PS.: By the way, does Digital Unix 4.0 address that "feature" ?
