Multihomed server

Dear group,

I want to make a DU3.2C-server multihomed and added
"alias a.b.c.d" to the IFCONFIG_0 line in /etc/rc.config

In /etc/hosts I added the line

a.b.c.d aliasname

and rebooted the machine.

Now when I do a "telnet a.b.c.d" on another machine I get the message:

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Permission denied

Am I missing something??
