Surprisingly I got no replies. I say suprisingly because I was expecting
some 'what swapper process?' responses!
After posting the question I decided to check out the swapper and perhaps
trace it. This is when I noticed the problem. There is no swapper process
under DUnix! I checked the Best1 output again and found it was calling
the process with PID 0 swapper. This is of course wrong as process 0 is
the kernel idle process.
This explains why this process accumulates more time on our NFS servers
where there is less activity. I believe Best1 is still in Beta under
DUnix so we have reported this problem.
