Just yesterday I noticed a strange incrementation in UID value when
adding a new user. Upon examining my /etc/passwd file I noticed that
the UIDs are fine from 419-423, as seen below, and then starting with
user jtonso it gets weird. I have not noticed any strange happenings
on our alpha, except my news active file getting corrupted (my
fault).
Any ideas?? and how do I get the UIDs to pickup from 424?
