Dear Managers,

Today I succeeded to print from the ultrix server to a printer connected
to a SCO server.I did the followowig :
 - Define remote printer queue on the ultrix server
 - define the ultrix server name in the hosts.equiv of the SCO server
 - define a printer queue in the /etc/printcap file on the sco server

The original question was :

I have SCO UNIX server and Ultrix server.I configured a printer on the
SCO UNIX server. The printing is fine from the SCO UNIX server. I created
a printer queue on the ULTRIX server to print remotely to the SCO UNIX
server (remote priting).
When I print from the ULTRIX the job remains in the ULTRIX queue. The
setup of the printer on the ULTRIX is simple and correct because I
tried the same setup but to DIGITAL UNIX server. The only difference is
that a added the ULTRIX server name TO the hosts.equiv (or hosts.lpd) on
the DIGITAL UNIX server to allow the printing from ULTRIX.

What do you thing ,what could it be the problem ?
If it is a matter of allowing or disallowing remote servers from
printing , what do I do on the SCO server to allow the ultrix server to
print remotely on the SCO UNIX?

By the way, I can telnet between the SCO server and the ultrix server.
I am using the SCO UNIX entreprise version.
