I'm back... (the guy who trashed his disk by doing an isacfg and
installing a new ISA card). I've installed a new hard drive and
installed DU on it. Now we're trying to install the old drive back in
and mount it. When we boot to the >>> prompt and do a "show config"
we see both drives at the proper SCSI ids. We then used doconfig to
edit the system configuration file. We added the following line:
device disk rz3 at scsi0 drive 24
and continued on with doconfig to rebuild the kernel. We copied the
new vmunix to /vmunix and rebooted. During boot we see messages that
say it sees rz4 at scsi0 (the CDROM) and rz6 at scsi0 our boot drive,
but there is no such message for rz3, the new drive. How do we get
it to see the new drive? I'm sure I'm missing something obvious and
that this is an easy question for all you DU vets out there. Sorry
for my lack of DU knowledge. I've learned quite a bit in this process.
Maybe someday I'll be the one answering more questions than I ask.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
