hello managers,

I have problems with the installupdate procedure from a 3.2c system to 4.0
After starting installupdate -i /dev/rz4c (cdrom) the procedure reports
during the file type checking:

------------

>found in subset inventory files located in the /usr/.smdb. directory.

after switching /sys to the requested structure I tried it again with
the result:

------
..

>found in subset inventory files located in the /usr/.smdb. directory.

-------

Needless to say, when I switched to /sys to be a symbolic link to usr/sys
(as it was already before) -- the upgrade procedure comes up with the
first time of message and so on and so on.

Any hints, experiences?
