Hi gang...

the system in question is an ALPHA station 200 4/100 running DGUX 3.2

About once every 10 days, our main NFS server gets into a funny state
where the machine hangs and continuously prints to the console the message
(at about 1 Hz)

tu0: packet dropped: no mbuf

=======

At this point all we could do is hit the reset button.

This typically occurs when we are recompiling our software--which
causes simultaneous heavy NFS access from 4 clients.

Can anyone please tell me what the message means?...

Is the message an indication of insufficient kernel resources???...if so
what do I need to do?

or is this indication of hardware trouble?

thanks
