MAC Address

     Hi!

I'm writing a (C-) program that needs to get the hardware address of a
LAN card. I think that there should be some ioctl-call to get that
from an open network device file, but was unable to find any
information how this is done in DIGITAL/UNIX. (HP-UX-solution is like
that. There are also two different MACs, as far as the network driver
is concerned: a fake one and the real one. If so in DEC too I need to
     get the real one.)

Could someone please help me out, C-code answer would be much
     appreciated.

     Thank You!
