Problems compiling perl5.003

Hi people,

I'm having problems compiling perl5.003 on my Alphaserver 2100 running
DU3.2b. I use all the default options in the Configure script, using DEC C
compiler. THe compilation dies while trying to link miniperl, with a

ld:
Can't locate file for: -ldl
make: *** [miniperl] Error 1

I'm at a loss at what's wrong, i tried looking for a dl in /usr/lib but
couldn't find it. Help?

As a side note perl5.001 compiled fine on this machine though.
