Andrew was on the money, and everyone pointed to the .xsession file, but
Andrew also provides the proper settings for the .dtprofile:

Original Question:
> We have a special account that we use for orientation of new users. When a
user logs into this account, Xmosaic is launched (in kiosk mode) and a
special web server is started. The user completes the orientation and their
account is activated.

failed to test the functionality of this app. Now, when a user logs into our
"special" account, they get a standard CDE login session!

(CDE or XDM) but that affects all users on that workstation. My question is,
can we force only one user to use XDM (or better yet, not login with a window
manager and simply launch our app)? Can anyone demonstrate how we can do a
"captive" X-environment with CDE (well, as captive as possible)? We want to
keep the CDE environment for all users but this one.... Can it be done?
