Lint Memory fault

Hi managers,

I'm trying to install INN1.4 unoff 4 on my newly-acquired
AlphaServer 400 4/233 running DEC unix 3.2d-1

I obtained the osf 3.2 version of config.data from
infinite.cs.swt.edu (following leads in the FAQ) then typed :
        make world install

I get a lot of compile time warnings :
"old style argument declaration"
"conversion from long may lose accuracy"
"prototype for function xxx is not in scope"
plus some others.

In several places I get :
/usr/bin/lint: nnnnn Memory fault - core dumped

It canned out trying to copy a lint output file, llib-linn.ln, which
does not exist.

One curiosity is that the flag -I../include gets handed to lint.
Reading the man page for lint, this doesn't look right to me, but
then, I've never used lint before.

Can any inn1.4unoff4 sites offer some advice ?

thanks, Martyn Brown (brown_at_lincoln.ac.nz)
