Has anyone seen this or are they familiar with it? I am getting an error
when adding to, or changing things in, /var/yp/src/passwd. I make the
change and then do a make passwd. I get this error twice:
cant bind to master for XXXXXXXX hosts.byname unknown NIS client error code
will use slave copy!
I do now have a slave, but this was happening before I had a slave. This
machine is supposed to be the master. Do I need to have my machine listed
in the ypservers file? I don't. Unless I am not reading the man page
correctly, I don't need to list my master server in ypservers. This would
not be the first time I have mis-read something though. :-) Any info?\
