ADVS message

Can anybody tell me why I get the following message in the /var/adm/messages
and on the console:

vmunix: ADVFS: using 566 buffers containing 4.42 megabytes of memory

We are NOT running ADVFS and it is NOT configured in the server.
I have only seen the message once. None of our filesystems are
mounted with the advfs option.

We are running OSF/1 v. 3.2c on a DECAlpha 3000/600.

We had a 'bad directory' on one of our disks when the
messages came - is that the explanation ?

yours
