The query related to safeness of upgrading from Perl v5.001 to v5.003
when running Majordomo v1.93.
I received replies from:
Jorge Granjal <jgranjal_at_eden.dei.uc.pt>
Larry Griffith <larry_at_garfield.wsc.mass.edu>
Ollivier Robert <ollivier.robert_at_eurocontrol.fr>
Jay Shen <jshen_at_kidsat.ucsd.edu>
Thanks indeed to these people.
The concensus is that there have been no problems experienced with
Majordomo when upgrading to v5.003.
Particular points to note are:
- An upgrade to v5.003 is highly recommended both for bug fixes
and a security fix.
- An upgrade does not seem to require any adjustments to
Majordomo. Everything comes right out of the box except
for the patch concerning setuid perl which has been previously
posted to this list.
