OS cannot be installed on RAID?

Hi,

Recently, I read some mails about the RAID and found that

        The DU is not recommended installed into the RAID.

Is it correct?

If so, what can I do?

A) config one JBOD disk for OS and the other for RAID 5 by using the
   same RAID controller.

        or

B) config one seperate disk by using on board SCSI controller and the
   other disks is configured as RAID 5 by using RAID controller.

        or

C) other sugguestion
