Hello,
I just did a doconfig followed by a kernel rebuild only to discover that the
new devices I added to my HSZ40 hardware are missing. I have got three units
D100, D101 and D102 configured at target 1, LUNs 0 1 and 2. My HSZ40 is on
scsi bus 1.
After the kernel rebuild, I see a rz9 at Bus 1, target 1, LUN 0 (D100),
another rz9 at Bus 1, target 1 LUN 1 (D101) but _NO_ rz9 at bus 1, target 1
LUN 2.
I rebuilt the kernel 2 or three times just to make sure I did nothing wrong
(It's not the first time I add devices to my HSZ40, I know what I'm doing)
and the rz9 just won't show up on the uerf listing. I know it's there
because I see it at the console prompt (SHOW DEVICE lists a DKD102) I see it
also with the scu utility.
Also, just for fun, I ran 'sizer -n test_devs' and the config file it listed
gave me the THREE rz9's. What's wrong with doconfig, doesn't it call sizer
to do it's job ?
I know the device doesn't have to be in a uerf listing for me to use it, but
I prefer clean things...
If you have any idea, any help would be appreciated. I know I could just add
the device in my config file, but I wonder why the heck doconfig just
doesn'T co it itself if it can do it with the two other rz9's !
TIA
