Hello,
I have a little question regarding the Virtual Memory System of DU.
What type of pages is included in the "Wired List" ? The "System Tuning and
Performance Management" guide says that it is not a "real" list but the
ensemble of pages in used that cannot be paged out.
What can make a page "non pageable" ? Because I have some worry on one
of my server. Usually the "Wired List" is around 15%. I have a 8400 with 2 Gb
of memory that has a wired list which is around 40%, which means that 800 Mb is
"wired". I don't have a problem if that memory is "wired" by the applications
but if the O/S is using that I'd like to know what it's doing.
So if someone has a clue, I'd be happy to summarize.
Bye..
...Louis
